What Not to Wear

It’s no secret that the Avalanche will have a third jersey this year, but what it will look like is. Will it just be an EDGE version of the previous third? Will it be an entirely new design? Adrian Dater and Chris Creamer’s Sports Logo Community are reporting on a “leaked” version of the new sweater.

I have a problem with this jersey. While it loses the godawful piping down the front, the predominantly blue color with the diagonal lettering reminds me too much of the Rangers jersey that’s famous for this design. As much as I hate to be like everyone else in the league, I really think this jersey would look great in black.

    Can't they just get back to the old 3rd jersey? For that matter, can't we just go back to the old jerseys? (and of course, the answer is no).

    Hm. No, I don't like either. I think Hockey has too many coverings. I'd watch more often if they all wore shorts and t-shirts. And I think I'm not alone on this one.

    I don't think the black version is better. I don't think this “Ranger Blue” jersey is better than the current third jersey. I would rather go back to home whites and road darks – scrap the third jersey altogether.
