I do not agree, however, with the statement that this was "innovative" play. This was ridiculous and childish. When i see it, i think Avery looks like a bufoon who is trying to cheat his team into a goal. There should be some dignity and integrity in the game and what he did just made it look like he and his team need to resort to foolish tactics to score goal. I don't think that the rules needed to be changed based on an isolated incident that you will never ever see happen again. As much as every team hates Avery and his antics I don't think there is a team out there that wouldn't want him on their team.
